About me
Welcome to my website! I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University, specializing in Political Theory and American Politics. My research focuses on American political thought and institutions, political psychology, and race and ethnic politics. I am particularly interested in the American Founding, constitutionalism, civic education, slavery, representation, polarization, and populism in the United States. My theoretical interests include the works of Montesquieu, the American Founders, Tocqueville, Abraham Lincoln, and Frederick Douglass, among others. I also use administrative and public opinion data to evaluate American democracy.
