About me

Welcome to my website! I received my PhD in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University. My research focuses on the U.S. Constitution and political institutions, American political thought and history, and race and ethnic politics. I am particularly interested in the American Founding, constitutionalism, American statesmen’s rhetoric, and American slavery and its legacy. I study American political thought in the context of the broader tradition of Western political philosophy. I also conduct empirical research using administrative, public opinion, and textual data.
