About me

Welcome to my website! I received my PhD in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University. My research broadly focuses on American political thought, constitutional law, American political institutions and development, and race and ethnic politics. I am particularly interested in the American Founding, constitutionalism, American slavery and its legacy, and American statesmen’s rhetoric. I study American political thought in the context of the broader tradition of Western political philosophy. I also conduct empirical research using administrative, public opinion, and textual data.
