About me
Welcome to my website! I am a Ph.D. candidate in political science at Claremont Graduate University, specializing in American political thought, development, and institutions. I am interested in the American Founding, American slavery, representation, polarization, and populism. On the theoretical side, my interests include the works of the American Founders, Alexis de Tocqueville, Abraham Lincoln, and Frederick Douglass. On the empirical side, I use both administrative and public opinion data to evaluate American democracy.
