About me

Welcome to my website! I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University, specializing in Political Theory and American Politics. My research focuses on American political thought, U.S. constitutional law and institutions, and race and ethnic politics. I am particularly interested in the American Founding, constitutionalism, American slavery, democratic accountability, representation, polarization, and populism. My theoretical interests include the works of the American Founders, Abraham Lincoln, and Frederick Douglass, among others. I also conduct empirical research using administrative and public opinion data.
