About me

Welcome to my website! I received my PhD in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University. My research lies at the intersection of American politics, political theory, and public law, with a particular focus on American political thought and development, and the U.S. Constitution and institutions. I am especially interested in American constitutionalism, American slavery, rhetoric, polarization, and public attitudes toward the U.S. Constitution and institutions. Drawing on approaches from political science, history, and law, I employ both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. I study American political thought in the context of the broader tradition of Western political philosophy. I also conduct empirical research using administrative, public opinion, and textual data.
