About me

Welcome to my website! I received my PhD in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University. My research lies at the intersection of American politics and political theory, with a particular focus on American political thought, institutions, and development. I am especially interested in American constitutionalism, American statesmen’s rhetoric, American slavery, and public attitudes toward the U.S. Constitution and institutions. I study American political thought in the context of the broader tradition of Western political philosophy. I also conduct empirical research using administrative, public opinion, and textual data.
